Meet Alicia
My love for writing and telling stories began when I was a little girl. That passion grew even stronger when I was in college. I knew I had what it took to be an exceptional journalist.
In April 2016, I graduated with a B.A. in journalism and a minor in multimedia from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. I also left with a portfolio of work that showcased my writing skills.
For five years, I covered general health, HIV, and cancer at a small publishing company in NYC. Today, I am an assistant editor with Scholastic News, a group of magazines provided to students in schools across America.
Journalism is what I love to do. I plan to make it my life's work.
